Australian Vintage Model Sailboat, Restored, c.a. 1940's

$895.00

This vintage totally restored model sailboat will surely "turn heads" as you display it in your favorite room.

The "Grand Soleil 40" as named by its owner, an avid collector of fine nautical antiques from Australia has denoted.
This very sleek and attractive racing schooner was sent to me by its owner for a minor restoration. After it was completed, he decided to consign it with RJL Antiquities. As I am very selective in what I consider for consignment, the restoration had gone so well and I was very happy to do so.

We added new cloth sails and some replacement hardware that was acceptable for it's period of origin, mid 1940's. The hull and keel were repainted to it's original colors. After adding new rigging but keeping as much "originality' as possible, I added the brass name plate to finally finish the restoration. The boat stand is very unique with the base made of "Tiger Oak" and the bottom felted with high grade black felting.

This exceptional model yacht measures 36"L x 7.5"W x 46"H. A larger yacht which is in very much in demand.
