Jacrim Seaworthy "Sea Spray" Pond Yacht, 1930s Fully Restored, c.a. 1930's

$5,895.00

This "Unique" and very rare Jacrim "Sea Spray" was the largest of the Seaworthy line of pond yachts built by Jacrim, Boston, Massachusetts from the period of 1928 to 1933.
Originally cast in the early 1930's this rare pond yacht has-been fully restored by it's original owner and restoration specialist, Kevin Knoop, of Stuart, Florida.

Mr. Knoop worked in collaboration with Mr. Bob Jones, a renowned expert in the history of Jacrim Seaworthy boats. I would personally like to thank both of them for their outstanding contributions!

Sea Spray is rigged as a free-sailing yacht, with is a Braine gear mounted on deck. The original Seaworthy Label is intact and comes with the yacht along with an identification plaque that is attached to the stand. Included is a binder which details the restoration process for Sea Spray.

A detailed "Project Binder" outlining Mr. Knoop's restoration and collaboration with Mr. Jones will be provided to the lucky buyer.

Added to this rare yacht is a "Braine" steering component along with a unique tiller assembly, with the centering spring and the main boom sheet.
Yes, this yacht does sail, but because of its overall age, not recommended. Please note the unique " mahogany name board". Measurements are: 35L x 8W x 59H (in its stand).
The beautifully painted burgundy hull and keel compliment the upper white hull color combination.
The handmade boat stand is made of pine and two coats of Driftwood stain applied and sealed in polyurethane. All rigging components are brass and handmade. If you would like more information or would like to speak personally with me concerning this opportunity, please call me at 860 307 7062.

Please review the "Specifications and Value" information below.
Thank you!

The Seaworthy/Jacrim boats were made by Chester Rimmer, a naval architect graduate of MIT in 1921. He formed the Jacrim Hollow Boat Company in the 1920s with the partnership of Arthur Jackson. They merged their boat making company with the Keystone Company of Boston, MA in 1938. The Seaworthy/Jacrim logo was discontinued, and Keystone began making boats under the Keystone name.

These handsome pond boats have the graceful lines of the 1920s America's Cup racers. They were manufactured in Boston and sold by various toy companies and catalog sales companies. These boats make great display pieces. Made in the USA.
