Antique, Vintage Pond boat, Sailboat, Restored, C.A. 1940's - 1950"s

$895.00

Words cannot express the beauty of this 1940's to 1950' Vintage, antique pond yacht. We recently completed a full restoration of this
" Museum Quality" yacht that we acquired from a collector in Wales, Great Britian. The history behind it is most interesting. It has-been in the collector's family for over 60 years. His uncle, who he was very close to, originally acquired it from an artesian in London who handmade model pond boats. This is how his collection grew throughout the years to present.

I am working with him to possibly acquire more collector pieces from him so "stay tuned".

When we received this yacht in the shop we were amazed at the great condition of this antique. We were able to save the original sails, giving them a good cleaning. The hull is of solid cherry (hardwood), so we re-stained it's original cherry color. Most of the brass fittings are original. I did add some new bronze accents and we did have to re-rig the entire boat. I chose a black, waxed rigging line of high quality.
We also added a new custom stand that we trimmed in cherry stain with mustard colored accent. I particularly like the color combination of cherry stain and mustard color trim: it gives it a classic look!

This is a nice sized model yacht measuring 30"L x 34"H x 5.3" W. (In it's stand).
A great size which is both elegant yet makes a statement that it's in the room to be noticed. What a great conversation piece!

This unique, antique model would make a great gift for that person who is hard to buy for and loves the nautical theme and the ocean.
