Mid- Century Vintage Pond Yacht Restored Handmade

Sorry, this item has sold.

This is a 1950's handmade pond yacht that we recently completed a full restoration. Many hours of work went into this "gem". A historic yacht made by an artisan in upstate N.Y. What a find!!

This is one of the best examples of mid 20th century work that is not only a great display model but yes, you can sail it in a pond or lake.

Our interpretation of its history is that it was sailed in a lake or pond in the upstate N.Y. area by the original maker. When we received it, we discovered that the original colors were grey and plum. The striping on the maple deck helped us confirm this. We kept the original sails and cleaned them. We replaced the hardware and rigging (using the originals as a guide). We painted the metal keel and hull the original colors and refinished the deck in maple. We finished the detail by using a marine grade sealer on the deck, hull and keel to make it water resistant. We added a new stand and matched the colors with the pond boat. A great look that will surely turn heads!!

This 28"L x 7.5"W x 41"H pond yacht is a perfect size for display or active sailing. We rigged the boat to its authentic specifications.

This great example of mariner history will continue to appreciate in value and would be a great gift for any person who loves the sea and is difficult to buy for.
As with all of our model yachts, we partially disassemble for safe shipping. Just attach the main sail and some rigging and you're ready to enjoy! We will include directions for minor assembly and also e mail you pictures to assist you.
