Vintage Half Hull "J" Class Schooner, Sailboat Model, Decorative, Nautical , Shadow Box Restored
A unique and rare vintage shadow box etching , half hull, Sailboat, schooner with original brass corner braces and mahogany wood trimmed frame.
This piece measures 16"H x 12"W x 2" W. We estimate that it was made in the 1960's.
From a nautical theme estate, this piece had been in this Newburyport, Mass. home for over 60 years. We purchased it along with the vintage "J" class schooner model also listed on our website.
This nautical shadow box is in excellent condition and was specially cared for by it's previous owners. When this shadow box was made, the creator " Hand Etched" the sail design and meticulously carved out the boat hull and keel. He then hand painted it in navy blue and burgundy, adding a white stripe for contrast. Very nicely done.
