Classic " J " Class Vintage Sailboat, Nautical Model, C.A. 1960's Restored.

$349.00

This is a fully restored vintage sailboat that we recently acquired from a collector in Newburyport, Massachusetts. When we received it in our shop we spent over 30 hours restoring it, from it's original paint colors, rigging and brass accent pieces. It measures: 22" L x 26"H x 4" W. A very popular size.

Historically, these "J" Class yacht models were collected by people who lived by the sea because they were intrigued by the history that surrounded them ( living in Newburyport etc.).
This particular boat was hand carved and is made of a solid wood ( typically pine for it buoyancy). Yes, if you wish, you can float this boat in a lake or pond. It will sail but because of its age we like it as a display. I love the history behind this yacht and it was exciting finding the original red, green and white under the old paint and bringing it back to life. We tried to keep as many original parts during restoration, specifically the sails. They restored nicely with a bit of "patina" present, which adds to it historic ambiance and presentation. What a great conversation piece which will go well in any room. Makes a great gift for that man or women that is difficult to shop for or who loves the nautical theme and the sea!

As with all of our model yachts, we partially disassemble the sails and rigging for safe shipping. Just connect the main sail and adjust the rigging slides ( bowsers) and your ready to enjoy. We also include simple instructions for assembly. Pictures will be emailed also to assist you and of course you can give me a call anytime.
Thank you
